Difficult concept, concern for animals that have to be killed because they may transmit Covid-19 when they get killed and stripped of their fur for commercial profit to make ermine robes for British aristocracy...

I thought there would be more general panic/unrest about the poor Danish minks. But anyway, it got me thinking:

Do we know which animals can be infected with CV19? and is that the same as the list that can be vectors? (can they weasely be differentiated??)
What did stagger me was the number of Mink involved.
On the one hand I think the fur trade is absolutely unnecessary, but on the other hand clothing people with man-made fibres is not exactly going well either....

Depressing that mink farms are still even a thing, nevermind the horrible conditions they are kept in. Animal fur still popular in Russia and China I know, but surprised at the vast numbers farmed in Denmark and Italy.
